While being charged in a Manhattan court earlier this week, the routine procedures required former US President Donald Trump to provide information about his height, weight and occupation, which showed an “unexpected” difference.
It is a routine process for those booked on criminal charges to provide personal information including height, weight and occupation to the police, with this information then being recorded in the online booking system.
Trump was charged in New York on Tuesday with 34 counts of falsifying business records in connection with allegations that he paid hush money to pornographic actresses Stormy Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal before the 2016 US election to prevent publication of his alleged sexual encounters with them.
Trump pleaded not guilty to all charges during his appearance in Manhattan Criminal Court on Tuesday.
The media quoted sources as saying that the 76-year-old Trump told officers that he was 188 cm tall and weighed 109 kg.
The former president has reportedly stated that his height is an inch (2.5 cm) shorter than what his doctors previously recorded in 2020 during his time in the White House.
Sean P. Conley, who was the president’s physician, stated that Trump is 190.5 cm tall in 2020.
Trump also defined his profession as “commerce and business”, instead of putting “a politician”, “the forty-fifth president” or “a candidate for the upcoming presidential elections”.
