Our objectives
By the year 2030, we have set out to reduce direct emissions from our sites and mobile fleets (Scope 1), as well as indirect emissions from energy purchases (Scope 2), by 55 percent compared to the year reference 2018/19. Likewise, our indirect emissions from the upstream and downstream value-added chain (Scope 3) must be reduced by 14 percent in the same space of time.
Where are we currently?
In the year 2022, TRUMPF generated a total of approx. 25,000 tons of CO per year2. In this way, we were able to halve our CO emissions2 compared to FY18/19, even after achieving solid business growth. This means that we will soon reach our goal of reducing Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 55 percent. When it comes to Scope 3 we already offer our customers products and solutions that save energy and material. We are currently working diligently to expand this portfolio. Since many development projects require a long lead time, the positive emissions reduction effects of Scope 3 will not be visible for a few years.
