Sunday, May 22, he arrives at the Church of Our Lady of Caudebec-en Caux with his program entitled “My universe” in order to present his new homonymous album.
The pleasure of playing in churches
The program is intended for the general public and popular, with certainly classical (Gounod’s Ave Maria, Albinoni’s Adagio…) but also gospel, jazz, pieces by Pierre Bachelet (Les Corons), Edith Piaf, Barbara Streisand…
“A few years ago I discovered the pleasure of playing in sacred places, the acoustics there are wonderful, the resonance exceptional” says the trumpet player, “I like to walk in the aisles, to be closer to people “. Jean-Claude Borelly was only seven years old when he discovered Louis Armstrong on television and immediately wanted to play the trumpet, taking lessons from a retired teacher.
Host on the Comedy channel
In 1975 Jean-Claude became an international star with his first album “Dolanes melodie”. With 5 million albums sold, he goes on tours from the United States to Argentina, repeating that “the trumpet is universal”.
Back in France in 2000, he hosted “La grosse mission” on the Comédie channel alongside merry men, Dominique Farrugia, Stéphane Guillon, Cyril Hanouna and Jonathan Lambert.
