The elected president of USA, Donald Trumphe said this Wednesday in the White House that politics “is hard” and thanked the outgoing president, Joe Bidenwhich is facilitating the transition between the two administrations.
«Politics is hard and, many times, it is a complicated world, but today is a good day in this world»Trump said, in his first words in the Oval Office, where he was invited by Biden.
«I am very grateful that the transition is being this fluid and that it continues like this»he added.
Biden responded with a brief “you’re welcome.”
The outgoing and incoming presidents appeared before the media for a few seconds before starting a private meeting.
Biden invited Trump to a meeting at the White House after the Republican won the presidential election last week over the Democratic vice president, Kamala Harris.
He also committed to an exemplary transition, in contrast to the one Trump led four years ago, when he did not recognize the result of the polls and his followers stormed the Capitol.
