Trump warns China: “to Cut off all the bridges is an option”

“Cut all bridges” with China is an “option” for the United States warned on Thursday that u.s. president Donald Trump in a context of tensions extreme between the two leading world powers.

“The United States maintain, of course, a policy option, under various conditions, to cut all bridges with China”, he made it known on Twitter.

Donald Trump made this statement in response to remarks of the us Trade representative Robert Lighthizer.

Interviewed Wednesday by the House of representatives, he had stated that China respected up to the present the terms of an agreement between the two countries, and that cut the bridges between Beijing and Washington was now impossible.

“It was an option years ago, but I don’t think it is (…) a reasonable policy at this point,” he said.
