The UAE and Israel signed a deal on Tuesday in Washington on normalizing the relationship between them. That agreement came about after American mediation. “Everyone said it was impossible,” said Trump, who commented on the Fox & Friends program that he was nominated twice for a Nobel Peace Prize last week.
Trump said Arab countries like the UAE are very wealthy and it is good for the US to sell stuff. “Do you know what I learned about military equipment? You sell it today and it will be obsolete tomorrow, ”he said. “Then you suddenly say: we have a new plane. A new and better plane. ”
The president also said he had “absolutely no problem” selling the Emirates the F-35. He thinks that would work out well for employment in the US. The F-35 is also known as the Joint Strike Fighter and is purchased by the Netherlands, among others.
