He will work with both Ukraine and Russia to end the war between them, Donald Trump said on Friday 9/27, ahead of his scheduled meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in New York.
Speaking to reporters at Trump Tower, Zelensky said he wanted to discuss with the Republican candidate the “Winning Plan” of Ukraine. Trump praised Zelensky, but also said he has a good relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“We have a very good relationship (with Zelensky) and I also have a very good relationship, as you know, with President Putin,” Trump said. “And I think that if we win, we will have a solution (s.s. for the war) very quickly,” he added, referring to the November 5 US presidential election.
The Trump-Zelensky meeting comes after the tycoon criticized the Ukrainian president on the campaign trail, describing him as “the greatest trader in history”, while he expressed doubts whether the US ally can win the war with Russia.
Zelensky, who is in the US for the UN General Assembly, met yesterday Thursday 9/26 with Democratic President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate for the presidency in the November 5 election.

Trump, standing next to a very uncomfortable-looking Zelensky, boasts that the Ukrainian president sided with him during the “impeachment hoax.”
