Businessman Donald J. Trump won decisively during the Republican primary held recently in South Carolina, defeating his rival Nikki Haley, former governor of that state.
According to news agency projections AP, the former president obtained 59.8% of the total votes, while his only opponent obtained 39.5%. The rest of the votes were divided between candidates who had previously confirmed their exit from the race.
Now, the magnate obtained 44 more delegates to the National Convention of the Republican Party, thus maintaining the absolute dominance that he has been showing throughout the race to obtain his party’s nomination.

Trump’s victory in South Carolina increased the pressure on Haley, who despite her seemingly zero chances of winning, assured that she will continue in the race and will ask for the vote of Republican militants for the so-called Super Tuesday on March 5.
During this event they will take place simultaneously in the states of Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont and Virginia.
