Trump supporters and critics clash in San Diego

Supporters of US President Donald Trump clashed with protesters in San Diego on Saturday, an incident that led police to consider the gathering as an illegal gathering due to acts of violence.

The officers were attacked with rocks, bottles and eggs, police said, and the crowd sprayed tear gas at them.

KSWB-TV tweeted a video showing protesters, most of them dressed in black and waving a flag of the antifa movement, throw a folding chair and spray an irritating spray towards a small group of people participating in the march in the Pacific Beach boardwalk.

The television channel indicated in other reports that members of both groups clashed and threw objects at each other.

Police sent dozens of riot police to separate the two groups. Agents asked residents to stay away from the area and warned that those who refuse to leave the area could be arrested.
