Trump ‘struggling’ sculpture made of nails unveiled after attack

Following the attack on July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvaniain which former president and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump He was wounded by a bullet graze in the ear, a local artist decided to create a life-size statue made of nails.

The statue, unveiled today at the Butler Farm Showthe same place where the attack took place, during a rally, was created by artist Bill Secunda, who told Fox News he wanted to portray the tycoon as he sees him: “Tough as a rock.”

Secunda told the US television station that he was inspired by Trump’s reaction to the attack, when after being protected on the ground by the Secret Service, he stood up and raised his fist, while shouting: “Fight, fight, fight!”

“I tried to give it the expression of ‘Let’s fight,’ but let’s do it without violence. Let’s do it right,” Secunda told Fox News.

The 1.80-meter-high sculpture is made up of some 4,000 twisted and bent metal nails and shows Trump in a light navy blue suit with his arm raised.

“I tried to give him that look of steely determination,” Secunda told the outlet. “When he was shot, a lot of people in Butler didn’t run away. They were upset. [pero] They were going to stay there and make sure I was okay.”
