As the mysterious drones that have appeared across central and northern New Jersey have raised alarm in the US, Donald Trump has presented his own “version” of their origin in a post on X.
The US president-elect, who takes office on January 20, has released a doctored photo showing former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie eating a McDonald’s meal delivered to him by… drones.
It is recalled that Trump, known for his provocative “humor”, returned to the popular platform with the blessings of his friend and right-hand man, Elon Musk. He was banned for two years from it as well as other social media platforms after his followers’ bloody invasion of the Capitol.

His post about Chris Christie comes as British and US intelligence agencies are considering a drone attack by Russian spies, with more than 1,000 reports of drones violating the airspace of UK and US military bases in New Jersey in less than a month.
Although the White House has said there is no evidence of foreign ties, authorities are continuing to investigate the unexplained incidents, which raise concerns about security and infrastructure protection.
In addition to New Jersey, drones have been reported in at least five other states: New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Virginia.
“knock them down”
It is noted that in addition to the above post, the Republican took a position on the incident through another post on the Truth Social platform, asking the military services to shoot down the drones.
“Mysterious drone sightings across the country. Can this really be happening without our government’s knowledge? I don’t think so! Inform the audience here and now. Otherwise, tear them down!!!”, wrote the US president-elect.
White House spokesman John Kirby, speaking on Fox News, noted: “I’m not going to lie. We don’t know anything about these objects to shoot them down. I know there are people who are afraid. I know there are people who are worried, We are also worried.”
