Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Social media activists shared video clips of an interview with former US President Donald Trump, and his opinion of the agreement reached by Saudi Arabia and Iran in China.
Trump said in the video clip circulating in a phone interview that he conducted on the NEWSMAX channel, where he said: “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has reached an alliance with Iran, and China coordinated this alliance, not the United States .. China controls the Middle East in a way, and no one even knows what is happening.” ..”
And he continued, saying: “All this happened under Biden’s eyes, this is unbelievable .. It is very important to think that Russia and China are together now and form a unit and they added Iran, North Korea and others as well, it is unbelievable and all this happened during the past year and a half.”
And the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Iran and China had announced, at the beginning of this month, that they had reached an agreement, in Beijing, to resume diplomatic relations between Riyadh and Tehran and reopen their embassies and representations within a maximum period of two months, according to a joint statement of the three countries.
This came after more than 7 years of severing diplomatic relations between the two countries, as Saudi Arabia announced the severance of relations with Iran in January 2016, after the attack on the Kingdom’s embassy and consulate in Iran, amid Iranian protests against Saudi Arabia’s execution of Shiite cleric Nimr al-Nimr.
