Trump removes white power tweet after criticizing black senator | Abroad

Senator Tim Scott, the only black Republican in the Senate, said earlier Sunday that he finds President Donald Trump’s retweet of the video “offensive.” “There is no doubt about this, this is indefensible, he has to delete this message. Punt,” Scott told CNN.

In the video that Trump shared, his supporters in a demonstration in the state of Florida get the verbal baton with opponents. It can be heard and seen that one of Trump’s supporters shouts “white power” to the opponents from a golf cart. They, in turn, have few friendly words left for the supporters of Trump and the President himself.

The president's tweet, now removed.

“Thanks to the wonderful people in Florida. The Democrats’ radical left-wing nuts will perish this fall,” Trump wrote in the video he shared.

Republican politician Scott, who represents the state of South Carolina, also said the movie contained so many swear words that the president shouldn’t have shared the footage with his millions of followers for that reason either.
