Trump Releases Fake Video Showing Joe Biden Tied Up – ‘Threats President’s Life’ – 2024-03-31 08:18:26

On Friday, Donald Trump published a video on his Truth Social platform showing a picture of US President Joe Biden in the trunk of a pickup truck as if he had been kidnapped, with his hands and feet tied. Biden’s campaign team has responded to the video with criticism, accusing Trump of inciting political violence.

A video released by Trump shows two pickup trucks driving down the highway covered in American flags and other banners calling for support for the police. Another pickup truck reads “Trump 2024” and has a sticker on the back showing a picture of Biden with his hands and feet tied.

Biden’s campaign criticized Trump for releasing the video and accused him of inciting political violence.

– Trump regularly incites political violence and it’s time for people to take him seriously. Just ask the Capitol Police officers who were attacked on Jan. 6 while defending our democracy, a Biden campaign spokeswoman Michael Tyler says, referring to the takeover of the Congress building in Epiphany 2021.

Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung responds to criticism by accusing Democrats of weaponizing the justice system against Trump. He points out that the Democrats have also commented on Trump in a contemptuous way.

“Democrats and Bad Misfits have not only called for despicable violence against President Trump and his family, but they are actually arming the justice system against him,” Cheung said in a statement, according to the BBC.

Professor Emeritus of Harvard University Laurence Tribe commented on the messaging service X that the video published by Trump is a crime.

– He threatens the life of the president. It’s a crime. If anyone else did it, the feds would arrest him, Tribe writes in X.

– The similarities with Trump are eerie. On April 1, 1924, exactly one hundred years ago tomorrow, Hitler was sentenced to five years in prison for the beer coup. Tribe has previously acted as an advisor to Barack Obama’s election campaign in the 2008 presidential election. In 2021, Biden appointed him to the Presidential Commission on the Supreme Court of the United States.
