Critics behind Trump backing Vance
Vance’s campaign, which began in July 2021, has at times been hampered by his previous comments regarding Trump, according to Newsweek.
In 2016, Vance called Trump an “idiot” and declared himself a “Never Trump” voter.
Vance later said his opinion of the former president had changed.
