Trump puts a brake on investments in Chinese companies with decree | Financial

Trump’s decree prohibits making investments from America in companies from China that are under the control of the Chinese armed forces.

Chinese companies affected by Trump’s decree include the telecom companies China Telecom and China Mobile, according to Reuters news agency.

Before the US election, Trump has also asserted himself in tackling Chinese companies. For example, he threatened to ban the Chinese TikTok of parent company WeChat in the US.
