US President Donald Trump is promising his fellow countrymen the same experimental corona treatment with antibodies as he received it for free, he said in a video message in the Rose Garden of the White House on Wednesday. Trump says he will soon sign an exceptional permit, so that the drug can be used.

The corona-recovering president was treated in hospital last week with the experimental drug Regeneron. “And other things too, but I think Regeneron was the most important. It was unbelievable. I immediately felt good, ”said President Trump. “I feel perfect.” He now promises his countrymen that they will get what he got, and that at no cost.
“We have Regeneron and a very similar drug from pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly. They come out and we try to get them on an emergency basis, we approved them, I approved them. If you’re in the hospital and you feel really bad, I think we’re going to work it out so you get them and you get them for free. ” There are hundreds of thousands of doses of which are nearly ready, Trump said. “I have emergency use approval ready, we need to sign it now. And you’ll get well, you’ll get well very quickly. ”
“It was a blessing from God that I got the coronavirus. I got infected, I heard about that drug, I said let me take it. It was my proposal. I said let me take it. And it was incredible how it worked, incredible. If I hadn’t gotten infected I would look at it like any other drug, but it did a fantastic job. I want you to get what I got. And I’m going to make it for free. You’re not going to pay for it. It wasn’t your fault this happened, it was China’s fault. And China is going to pay a big price for what they have done to this country and the world. ”
“More important than vaccine”
According to Trump, these drugs, and getting them into hospitals with logistical help from the military, are “much more important than the vaccine.” Several companies are in the final stages of the development of such a vaccine and will be very soon, Trump said. “I think it should be there before the election, but frankly, politics comes in, and that’s okay, they want to play their games, it will be right after the election. But we did it, nobody else; no one else would have been able to do it. The FDA has never acted so quickly before, and no other president has ever pushed them like me, to be honest. ”
