Trump pressures Gov. Georgia to revoke Biden victory | Abroad

It is Trump’s umpteenth attempt to call into question the outcome of the November election by citing fraud as the cause of his defeat without any evidence. Kemp said earlier that he could not be willing to please the president because he did not have the political power to do so. According to The Post’s spokesperson, he has now also rejected Trump’s urgent request.

After a recount also failed to provide Trump with the desired majority in Georgia, his lawyers filed a lawsuit to invalidate the result. This has also happened in other states of the US, so far without success.

Trump visits Georgia to campaign for two Republican senators. They will take it on January 5 in a second poll against Democratic rivals. The result could be decisive for the majority in the Senate, now Republican.
