US President Donald Trump has announced tonight that “certainly” will impose duties on European products, without specifying when.

Trump also said that Canada, Mexico and China can no longer do anything to avoid duties, adding that petroleum, oil and gas duties will also be imposed, probably until February 18.
Earlier, the White House announced that from tomorrow, February 1st, 25% duties will be imposed on all imported products from Canada and Mexico and 10% on China. Trump, however, said he would probably reduce tariffs on Canadian oil to 10%.
Trump acknowledged that duties could cause a short -term market unrest, as the cost sometimes passes to the consumer. But he added that “he is not interested in” the market reaction.
The US president also reiterated the threat of “taking back the Panama Canal” and assured that Egypt and Jordan “will get people from Gaza”.
