US President Donald Trump left the hospital around 6.30 p.m. local time (0.30 a.m. in Belgium) on Monday, as planned. Trump still wants to debate Joe Biden next week, according to his spokesman.

Trump, 74, who tested positive for the coronavirus, left the hospital on foot, walked down a flight of stairs and got into a black car in front of the assembled press with his thumb up. He was wearing a face mask. Then it headed for the presidential helicopter, which takes him to the White House.

Despite his contamination, he wants to participate in the planned presidential debate, a spokesman reports Fox News barely an hour after he left the hospital. That debate will take place on October 15 in Miami, Florida.
Biden recently tested negative for the virus several times. He said he was ready to participate in the next debate if health experts consider it safe. During the next election debate between Vice President Pence and Vice President candidate Harris, on Oct. 8, there will be a plexiglass screen between them.
