Trump lawyer gets criticism after Borat scene

NOTE: This case contains spoilers. If you do not want to know what’s going on in the new Borat movie – do not read on.

Former New York City mayor and Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani (76) has made many people close their eyes, after Sasha Baron Cohen’s new documentary was released on Amazon Prime on Friday.

The long-awaited sequel to the success “Borat” from 2006, has been given the title «Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan».

The plot is mainly about the main character being sent back to the United States by the government of Kazakhstan, 14 years later, to bribe Donald Trump’s “deputy prime minister” Mike Pence. The gift is a monkey named Johnny. And as last time, a number of situations arise along the way.

– Takes his hand down his pants

In one scene, Giuliani meets what he thinks will be a TV interview. The interviewer is actress Maria Bakalova (24), in the role of Borat’s teenage daughter Tutar, who pretends to be a TV journalist.

After the “interview”, Tutar suggests that the two go to a hotel suite to have a few drinks. It did. After his microphone is removed, he lies down on a bed, fiddles with his shirt, puts his hands down the inside of his trousers and “apparently touches his nobler parts”, according to The Guardian.

More will not happen until Sasha Baron Cohen, in character, storms into the room and shouts:

– She’s 15! She’s too old for you!

“His hands are down his pants. Your brain becomes an exclamation point when you see it. They are strategically interrupted before anything more happens, but it is impossible not to wonder what Giuliani would do next “, writes Vanity Fair about the stage.

The Guardian is also not very impressed with the lawyer’s behavior before the much talked about hand down his pants.

– He flirts, drinks whiskey, coughs and avoids complying with the rules of social distancing. He also claims that Trump’s quick action this spring saved millions of Americans from dying of covid-19, the newspaper writes.

Several international media have tried to get a comment from Giuliani and his lawyer. None of the inquiries have been answered so far.

Called the police

Rumors that Sasha Baron Cohen was in the process of filming the sequel arose this summer, when Guiliani himself told Page Six that he had called the police after being exposed to what he believed was an attempt to trick him on camera, when a man in a pink bikini stormed in during an interview.

– It was only later that I realized that it must have been Sacha Baron Cohen. I thought of everyone he has cheated on before, and was quite happy with myself for not being able to fool me, he said.

Several media outlets point out that Cohen and Bakalova will probably disagree on just that.

FBI investigates Russia’s involvement

Giuliani is central to the run – up to Trump’s election campaign, and what is being referred to as one third package against Joe Biden’s son Hunter. The lawyer leaked emails from a PC he claims belong to Hunter Biden to the New York Post. This resulted in an article, which was later blocked for distribution on Facebook and Twitter.

The case this week led to 50 former intelligence leaders moving out to say that it was all reminiscent of a Russian intelligence operation.

Untitled sources said last week that the FBI is investigating whether the emails were intentionally leaked to Giuliani by Russia to damage Biden’s candidacy.

Several media outlets read the film with a political slant, among other things by weakening Giuliani’s credibility. It is also released shortly before the election, and ends with an instruction on how viewers can vote.
