Washington: US President Donald Trump, accused in the Capitol riots, is nearing his second impeachment. The Democrats’ move to oust Trump, who is barely two weeks away from the presidency.
They want the 25th Amendment to the Constitution to be used to remove Trump from office before President-elect Joe Biden takes office. Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi and Democratic leader Chuck Schumer spoke on the issue. The vice president and a majority in the cabinet must decide whether Trump deserves to be in power. Pelosi said the House of Representatives will move to impeach Trump if he is not prepared for it.
