In an effort to close the gap with Joe Biden, President Trump has launched a hunt for a group of voters he has long had a struggling relationship with: women. During an election rally in Pennsylvania, Trump explicitly addressed the so-called ‘suburban housewives‘, warning that Biden would “destroy their neighborhoods”.

The president was referring to an Obama-era law that was supposed to combat discrimination in the housing market, but according to Trump would flood white suburbs with black criminals. It elicited a remarkable plea from the president: “Will you please love me? I saved your fucking neighborhood, okay? ”
An additional problem is that Trump now also seems to be losing the battle for older voters. In 2016, the president was still far ahead of Hillary Clinton with that target group, but now all polls indicate at least an equal distribution between both candidates.
