Trump files another appeal to the Supreme Court to try to reverse the electoral result in Pennsylvania | Univision News Elections in the US 2020

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in a statement Thursday that expects to receive the vaccine against covid-19 in the next few days, as a vaccination plan for members of Congress is being organized.

As Pelosi said in the notice, the Capitol doctor’s office has informed congressional leaders that members of the House and Senate are eligible for vaccines, so Pelosi announced that she plans to receive the immunization “in the next few days.”

The same was announced on Thursday by the leader of the Senate, Republican Mitch Mcconnell, who said he had been notified that he was eligible for the vaccination by the Capitol doctor.

In his statement, the Republican leader was disappointed with the results of a poll showing that a quarter of Americans do not plan to get the vaccine and another quarter say they are not sure.

“It’s worrying that half of Americans feel that way,” McConnell said. “The only way to beat this pandemic is for us to follow the advice of our nation’s health professionals: get vaccinated and continue to follow the CDC guidelines,” said the Republican leader.

“As a polio survivor, I know both the fear of disease and the extraordinary promise of hope that vaccines bring. I really hope that all Kentuckians and Americans will heed this advice and accept this safe and effective vaccine, “he added.

For her part, Pelosi also indicated that “even with a vaccine, I will continue to follow the guidelines [de los Centros para el Control y la Prevención de Enfermedades] to continue wearing a mask and take other scientific measures to stop the spread of the virus
