The president of the United States dismissed this Tuesday night the president of the US cybersecurity department, who guaranteed that the presidential elections of November 3rd were totally safe, thus contradicting the thesis defended by Trump and his allies, that maintain – even without providing concrete evidence – that electoral fraud existed.
In two consecutive tweets, Donald Trump claims that he “ended” the duties of Chris Krebs at the head of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), which is part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, precisely because he has publicly stated that there is no evidence irregularities.
“Chris Krebs’s recent statements regarding the security of the 2020 elections were extremely erroneous, as there were massive indecencies and frauds – including situations of dead people who voted, observers who did not have access to vote counting places,” errors “on the counting machines that changed Trump’s votes to Biden, polls overtime and many other cases. Thus, with immediate effect, Chris Krebs has his duties ended as director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency,” writes Trump .
…votes from Trump to Biden, late voting, and many more. Therefore, effective immediately, Chris Krebs has been terminated as Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.

The “statements” to which Trump refers is a CISA statement released hours earlier in which the computer security of the electoral process is reaffirmed.
“There was no evidence that any voting system erased or lost votes, modified votes or was compromised in any way,” writes the CISA expert committee responsible for cybersecurity of the electoral act in that document, cited by the Washington Post.
“We are aware that there are many unfounded allegations and opportunities for disinformation about the electoral process, but we can guarantee with confidence the security and integrity of our elections.”
Krebs himself, after this statement, came to Twitter to appeal to Americans not to reproduce misinformation. In one of the Tweets, he reproduced a lawyer who appealed not to do it even if that information came from the president “.
The resignation came a few hours later.
