Trump “consults with other sites” on Twitter account permanent suspension

Completely block personal accounts for’violence incitement and beautification risk’
After protesting through the president’s official account, tweets were deleted and presidential campaign accounts were also suspended.

Social media Twitter permanently suspended the account of US President Donald Trump on the 8th (local time).

Twitter has imposed a permanent suspension on President Trump’s personal account (@realDonaldTrump) on the grounds of “the danger of further agitation of violence,” the Associated Press and Reuters reported.

“We have carefully reviewed the recent tweets of President Trump’s account and the context around them, especially how they are accepted and interpreted on and off Twitter,” and said, “We have permanently suspended this account because of the risk of further incitement of violence.”

On the 6th, Twitter paused President Trump’s tweets for 12 hours after Trump’s supporters broke into the Washington DC Capitol.

The action was taken after President Trump posted a video on Twitter encouraging rioters who invaded Congress by repeating false “election fraud” claims.

Afterwards, Twitter restored the account when President Trump deleted three tweets that were pointing out as having problems, but this time it was permanently suspended.

President Trump immediately opposed the permanent suspension of accounts.

He said, “Twitter went further to prevent freedom of expression,” he said through the president’s official account (@POTUS) rather than the account suspended by Twitter. “Twitter employees conspired with the Democratic Party and the far left and voted for me. “I deleted my account to silence the great patriots.”

“We are not going to be silent,” Trump added. “We are in consultation with several sites and there will be a big announcement soon. We are also looking to see if there is room for our own platform in the near future.”

The tweets were immediately deleted, so they cannot be viewed at this time, and President Trump’s presidential campaign account (@TeamTrump) has also been suspended.

Twitter said, “It is also a violation of the rules to use another account to evade account suspension,” and said, “We have taken steps to implement these rules regarding tweets posted on the President’s official account.”

On the day, Twitter pointed out that President Trump’s recent tweets have reached the level of glorifying violence.

It reads like this when there are claims to protest by armed forces at the inauguration ceremony of President-elect Joe Biden, which floats online along with the congressional riots.

In some tweets, for example, President Trump announced his absence from Biden’s inauguration ceremony, calling his supporters “American Patriots” and saying that they “will have a huge voice that will last a long time.”

Twitter said these statements are “a number of signs of revenge that it appears to be stimulating others to imitate the violent behavior that took place on the 6th, and in fact it is accepted and understood as encouraging them to do so.”

In fact, plans for armed protests, including proposals to launch a second round of attacks on the Federal Assembly and the State Capitol on January 17, both inside and outside Twitter, are beginning to spread, Twitter explains.

With Twitter’s permanent suspension of accounts, President Trump lost his favorite means of communication with his supporters.

His personal account followers reach about 89 million. The presidential official account has 33.5 million followers, which is less.

The Associated Press said the move “deprived Trump of the powerful tools he has used to communicate directly with Americans for over a decade. He announced policy changes, challenged competitors, insulted enemies, praised allies and himself.” I’ve been using Twitter to do it,” he pointed out.

The news agency also noted that “we used Twitter to spread false information, gamble to incite violence, or to blame targets of anger in capital letters.”

Twitter has widely acknowledged exceptions to its content regulations to leaders around the world, including President Trump. The content of hate speech or personal attacks is also partially tolerated.

Twitter, however, made it clear that President Trump’s account was permanently suspended today, making it clear that the accounts of the leaders are not entirely above its rules and that Twitter cannot be used to incite violence.

Meanwhile, Twitter has also permanently suspended accounts of former White House National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, a loyal to President Trump, and attorney Sidney Powell.

Twitter said the suspension of the two accounts is a branch of a wide range of measures to oust accounts that promote the conspiracy theory of pro-Trump far-right group Qurnan, and will continue to take action against actions that have the potential to lead to offline damage in the future.
