Trump comes to Davos with daughter Ivanka

US President Donald Trump is traveling to this year’s WEF in Davos. His spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham announced that he would participate in the World Economic Forum on January 21 and 22.

His daughter Ivanka Trump and son-in-law Jared Kushner travel to Switzerland with him, the AP news agency writes. It is the American President’s first trip abroad since the impeachment process.

Trump had been a guest at the WEF in Davos two years ago. He had to stay in Washington last year because of the budget conflict.

The US delegation is headed by Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin in the famous Graubünden tourism location. Minister of Economics Wilbur Ross, Minister of Labor Eugene Scalia, Minister of Transport Elaine Chao, Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer, Energy and Environment Secretary Keith Krach and Consultant Christopher Liddell will also be there.

Thunberg is said to have three appearances

A delegation from Iran is also among the participants in the WEF. Foreign Minister Mohammed Jawad Sarif is to travel to Switzerland, as CH Media recently reported. 17-year-old Greta Thunberg is also expected in Davos. The environmental activist is said to have three appearances. At a podium, she commented on how the climate passion of boys can change the behavior of adults. In addition, she will give an input speech entitled “Avert the climate collapse” and take part in a dinner with opinion leaders.

The WEF will officially announce the list of participants on January 14th. The World Economic Forum will take place for the 50th time in 2020.
