The US president-elect, Donald Trump, chose this Friday Scott Turner, former American football player, to head the Urban Planning and Housing portfolio of his future Administration.
Turner spent nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the Washington Redskins, the San Diego Chargers and the Denver Broncos.
During Trump’s first term (2017-2021), he served as the first executive director of the White House Office of Revitalization and Opportunity, dedicated to the communities most in need.
According to the transition team’s statement, these areas received some $50 billion in private investment thanks to their work.
