The elected president of USA, Donald Trumpappointed as deputy director of policy of the White House a Stephen Millerthe ideologue of his immigration strategy, as confirmed by vice president-elect, JD Vance.

“This is another fantastic choice by the president,” Vance said on the social network X, citing the news of Miller’s signing that was reported by CNN.

Miller served as an advisor to Trump during his first term in the White House, being the architect of his controversial immigration and border policies. The new position seems to indicate that his role will be greater in this second period.

He is also the architect of the strategy of mass deportations of immigrants that Trump has promised throughout the campaign.

Miller has remained close to Trump during these years in the opposition, frequently accompanying him on the campaign.

In an interview with The New York Times months ago, Miller assured that “Trump will use the entire arsenal of federal powers to carry out the largest offensive against immigration.” EFE (I)
