Trump appears to be telling Mar-a-Lago crowd that Arizona will be first state to fall to cancel ‘rigged election’

DONALD Trump appeared to tell an enthusiastic crowd in Mar-a-Lago that Arizona would be the first state to fall and overturn the ‘rigged’ 2020 election.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if they came up with thousands and thousands and thousands of votes,” Trump said of a Republican-led recount in Arizona’s Maricopa County.

“After that you’ll look at Pennsylvania, you’ll look at Georgia,” Trump continued. “And you’re going to look at Michigan and Wisconsin. “

“It was a rigged election. Everyone knows it, ”he added.

A recording of Trump’s tirade was shared on Twitter on Friday.

The former president has continued to repeat his claims that he only lost the 2020 presidential election to Joe Biden due to widespread electoral fraud.

No concrete evidence of electoral fraud has ever been made public.

Arizona ballots are currently being recounted by a private company hired by the state’s Republican-led Senate as part of an unprecedented audit of November election results.

The manual recount started last Friday and is expected to end on May 14.

Former Arizona Rep. Anthony Kern was seen participating in the recount in Maricopa County on Friday, according to Newsweek.

Kern was present at the January 6 riots on the United States Capitol and was an advocate of the “Stop the Steal” movement of Trump supporters.

Kern lost his House seat in the 2020 election, but Arizona’s recount only applies to the presidential race and the Senate race.

Both were won by state Democrats.

Trump moved to Mar-a-Lago after leaving the White House in January.

The former president is said to have opened an office and has been working in the Florida resort since then.
