DONALD Trump said he accepted an invitation to visit the country’s “decimated” southern border at the end of the month.
The former president also criticized Joe Biden’s administration and its response to the border situation in a statement released Tuesday.
“I have accepted Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s invitation to join him on an official visit to the decimated southern border of our nations on Wednesday, June 30, 2021,” the statement read.
“The Biden administration inherited from me the strongest, safest, and most secure border in U.S. history and in just a matter of weeks it turned it into the worst border crisis in the world. history of the United States.
“It’s a disaster area without mitigation,” he continued.
The former president said the United States has gone from a “border security that the world envies” to a “lawless border” that grieves the world.
He went on to criticize Biden and Harris for not visiting the southern border or “ICE heroes risking their lives to defend our nation at a time when the White House is doing all it can to make their jobs totally impossible.”
