Trump announces agreement for three debates, starting with Fox News

Former US President Donald Trump, who is running for a new term, said he agrees to hold three presidential debates on major television networks, starting with a debate on Fox News on September 4.

Trump said about this Thursday at a press conference organized at his residence Mar-a-Lago in Florida. The Republican presidential candidate also mentioned the possibility of debates on NBC on September 10 and on ABC on the 25th of the same month.

Donald Trump claims that this media regulation has already been approved, and he is only waiting for the proposal to be approved by the headquarters of the campaign of the Vice President Kamala Harris, known as the the most likely presidential candidate from the Democratic Party.

The Harris campaign has pushed for a Sept. 10 debate on ABC. That time was previously scheduled for a new meeting between Trump and President Joe Biden, who has since withdrawn from the race. But Donald Trump said the ABC fight was “cut short” when Biden pulled out of the campaign. The Harris campaign said in this regard that “Trump is afraid and is running to Fox News to help him.

The August 8 press conference was Donald Trump’s first meeting with reporters since Kamala Harris Gov.-elect. Minnesota Tim Walz as her vice presidential candidate. Trump called Walz a “left-wing radical.”
