Former US President Donald Trump indicated on the 19th that he would not select former United Nations Ambassador Haley as his running mate as his running mate for the Republican nomination for the November presidential election. As the party’s primary in New Hampshire approaches, Trump and Haley are engaged in a heated exchange of words.
At a rally in Concord on the night of the 19th, Trump said that Haley was “OK” when she served as ambassador to the United Nations, but that she was not suited to be “president.” “For me to say that means she probably won’t be elected vice president,” she said.

Trump said Haley was not fit to serve as president and was unable to deal with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
Haley served as ambassador to the United Nations under the former Trump administration, but she parted ways with Trump when she ran for the Republican nomination for the 2024 presidential election.
Haley’s campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment. He previously said Haley had no interest in being Trump’s running mate.
Haley, who is concentrating her resources in New Hampshire, held a campaign with New Hampshire’s Governor Sununu on the 19th. At an event on the same day, he criticized Trump for “telling lies” and said, “If he tells lies about me, I will tell the truth about him.”

Former President Trump’s victory in the Iowa caucuses also earned him the support of U.S. Sen. Scott from Haley’s home state of South Carolina.
Scott’s support for Trump is a direct blow to Haley, who has focused her campaign on New Hampshire and South Carolina, aiming to upset Trump in those states. In 2012, Haley, then South Carolina’s governor, nominated Scott to fill a vacant U.S. Senate seat in South Carolina.
