Philadelphia. The eagerly awaited TV debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump is just around the corner: On Tuesday, September 10, the The two US presidential candidates will face each other for the first time at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia (Pennsylvania). Viewers can also follow the debate live on German television.
Among other things, the broadcasters RTL and NTV will broadcast the debate between the candidate of the Democratic Party and the Republican candidate on the night of September 10th to 11th from 2:45 a.m. German time. RTL Germany announced this on Friday in Cologne. The live broadcast is planned with simultaneous German translation, the broadcaster emphasized.
Moderator Etienne Bell and political scientist Andrew Denison will evaluate and analyze the debate, which will be broadcast on the US broadcaster ABC, with pre- and post-event reports. Reporter Oliver Beckmeier will also report live from Philadelphia on the first impressions.
The debate will also be shown on ARD. Das Erste will be broadcasting from 2:50 a.m. and will be providing an overview of the proceedings through the studio manager of the ARD studio in Washington, Gudrun Engel, and Peter Rough from the Hudson Institute. According to ARD, Torben Börgers will take a look behind the scenes of the 90-minute duel. Welt TV has also announced that it will be broadcasting the event from 3 a.m.
