The Conway couple have received a lot of attention in the United States: While Kellyanne is one of President Trump’s closest advisers, her husband George is actively working to prevent the president from being re-elected.
Now they want to retire to focus on their four children.
– This is my choice, entirely. In time, I will announce my future plans. But for now, and for my dear children, there will be less drama, and more mom, Kellyanne Conway writes in one statement reproduced in Washington Post.
The counselor, who has previously received much of the credit for Trump’s 2016 election victory, has decided to quit the White House in late August.
She reportedly gave President Trump the message in the Oval Office on Sunday night.
The news comes the night before the Republicans’ national meeting kicks off on Monday – a meeting Conway himself has been involved in planning.
Conway has worked for Trump in the White House since the beginning of his presidency. She is one of the president’s closest advisers, and led his campaign towards the election winner in 2016.

Promises kids less drama
Conway’s husband George T. Conway is an outspoken critic of President Donald Trump. He is also retiring from his role in the Lincoln Project, a group of Republicans working to prevent Trump from being re-elected in November.
He writes still on Twitter that he still supports the project wholeheartedly.
