Truecaller Releases Call Reason Feature, Here’s Its Function

Truecaller, a phone call identification application, released a new feature called Call Reason whose function is to write down the destination of the phone when making a call.

This feature is called useful for knowing the purpose of the phone call, complementing the main feature of Truecaller which identifies the caller.

Call Reason allows users to enter the reason they are calling, so that the recipient of the call can identify the call, whether it is a personal, business or urgent matter-related call.

This feature will help the recipient pick up important calls, especially from unknown numbers.

“Call Reason is one of the most requested features by Truecaller users around the world. This new feature allows users to put a note when calling. The presence of the “Call Reason” feature comes at the right time. In this digital era, many online transportation or food delivery applications require users to communicate with couriers using phone calls.

Indonesians, who receive an average of 27.9 spam calls every month, want an easier way to distinguish important calls, for example when they receive a call from a bank regarding credit card fraud.

The Call Reason feature will start rolling out today for free to all Android users and will roll out to iOS users early next year.
Along with Call Reason, Truecaller also launched two additional new features: SMS Schedule and SMS Translate. With the SMS Schedule feature, users can schedule SMS reminders about events, meetings, and grocery lists that need to be purchased.

Meanwhile, the SMS Translate feature allows users to instantly translate messages they receive into other languages ​​without leaving the Truecaller application. Both of these features can be used for sending SMS and instant messaging (IM), and are available free of charge to all users.
