True Crime Pope Dr. Alexander Stevens: Discussing Suspicions, Public Cases, and False Identifications

What would a live podcast be without our True Crime Pope. Dr. Alexander Stevens? Nothing. For this reason, I have invited the winner of our 2022 summer voting for you again, Dr. Alexander Stevens is a specialist lawyer in criminal law and partner in the law firm Stevens & Partner in Munich. He is also a podcaster – the Bayern 3 True Crime Podcast is ARD’s most successful podcast with well over 35 million views – and he is regularly on stage with a true crime live show. You already know from the previous episodes that Alex was also a cathedral sparrow, paramedic and musical singer. Today I’m talking to Alex about “2Crime – Judge versus Lawyer”, suspicion reporting and cases that attract particular public attention. And no, I’m not alluding to Mockridge and Lindemann. Or does it? From Alex we find out whether discussing such cases makes oneself a target, why witnesses are weak evidence and why the photo template used to identify the perpetrator is so prone to errors. Alex explains to us about the anchoring effect and blinder effect, which can always lead to false suspicions. Last but not least, you will find out from us what coup Alex is planning next. Of course – a promise is a promise – Alex won’t miss out on answering your questions either.

This was the 3rd part of our big anniversary episode. Parts 1 & 2 are already available on all platforms. The next regular issue (R)REALLY INTERESTING! appears on October 6th.
