It’s been a while since we had a new edition of Ken Je Deze Nog online. But because JJ had lost his voice for several days, he had time to look at his collection and then thought, ‘Why not?’ So he picked up some games from his collection and sat down at the table with Skate. With games from the period 2000 to 2013 that were not very big in terms of sales, but often scored good numbers. And in the time of all those remakes, remasters and reboots, the question is whether there are also candidates for such an approach among these games? You can see it all in a new edition of Do You Know This Yet.
Climbing buildings in Prototype thanks to a nasty virus
In this edition we all have games that came out at least on the Xbox and Xbox 360. We used to get a lot of them sent to us. But most of them were multi-platform. For example, JJ came up with a number of Activision titles where no Call of Duty name was in the title. For example, consider Prototype. Do you remember that game? From flying and then attacking a helicopter to stealing a tank. Also in that game we had to deal with a virus. What memories do the two have of this?
True Crime New York City capitalized on the success of GTA Vice City
JJ, of course, had more games with him. You may know some of them. Do you remember FEAR? About that wacky girl Alma from The Ring, but in a game. He took Law with him. A game we may all not know from Bethesda? Why the hell did he take that unknown game with him? Or take True Crime New York City. You played a gangster who wanted to become a detective and so tried to take his own life. Released a year after the success of GTA Vice City. And wasn’t there a game that GTA borrowed a lot from? You see and hear it all in Do You Know This Yet.
