Trudeau at the Iran air disaster memorial: ‘don’t rest until there are answers’

The rector of the University of Alberta, to which some of the victims were associated, said to mourn the friends, colleagues and many talents that Canada has lost. “Innovative and enterprising people, who were eager to make our universities, cities, provinces, our country and the whole world a better place,” said Rector David Turpin.

Alberta’s prime minister, Jason Kenney, called the disaster “an epic demonstration of man’s foolishness.” Kenney, known as a fierce opponent of Trudeau, said he was confident that the Trudeau would do everything in its power to find out what exactly happened.

Meanwhile, 11 Canadian researchers have received a visa from Iran to investigate the air disaster. It is expected that part of that group will be ready for tomorrow.

In other Canadian cities, too, there have been busy memorial meetings in recent days. In addition to a memorial meeting, the Iranian community in Toronto has also organized a protest against the Iranian regime.
