At least six people have died in a chain crash of 20 cars during a sandstorm in the US state of Utah, the Associated Press reported, citing the US Patrol Service.
The accident happened on Sunday afternoon on the interstate highway near the town of Kanos.
Several wounded were taken to hospital in critical condition. The victims were transported by land and air ambulances.
The collision was caused by reduced visibility due to strong winds caused by dust and sandstorms.
The city of Kanos is located about 260 km south of the capital of Utah – Salt Lake City.
