On the A7 near the Frisian Terwispel, a truck with trailer overturned this afternoon and ended up in the verge. One person was injured in this.
What exactly happened is unclear. Omrop Fryslân writes that the truck probably hit a car that had broken down on the emergency lane. There was potting soil in the trailer. Part of the ground ended up on the road.
Police say two people were in the car. One of them was slightly injured. The truck driver was unharmed.
Delay
A lane in the direction of Drachten was temporarily closed to traffic. The road has since reopened, but traffic is still delayed for half an hour. Cleaning up the potting soil takes a lot of time, Rijkswaterstaat reports. The road has to be closed again at 7 p.m. so that the car and truck can be recovered.
