In Amqui, Canada, the driver of a pick-up truck drove into pedestrians. Two men lost their lives. One was in his 60s, the other in his 70s. Nine others were injured, two of them seriously, Quebec police said.
It is unclear whether this was an intentional act or an accident. The 38-year-old driver of the vehicle is being questioned by police. According to Average Canadian he initially fled after the accident, but then turned himself in to the police.
The incident was reported to police around 3:00 p.m. local time. It happened on a boulevard in Amqui, a town about 350 kilometers northeast of Quebec City.
