On the E42, Namur / Mons, following the accident that occurred this morning near Courcelles, the road is closed towards Mons.
Several trucks are involved and one of them was carrying glass. A fire broke out causing much damage. The cleaning is in progress but will take time; the situation should not improve before 7:30 pm-8pm minimum.
Deviations have been implemented:
- exit at Heppignies and take the R3 to Gouy
- or from the Thiméon interchange: take the A54 towards Nivelles then the E19 towards Mons, or the A54 towards Charleroi then the R9 and the N90 towards Mons
