Alberto Montemayor, 34, truck driver has been arrested by police in Tulare County, California. Officers tracked him down after his employer discovered that nearly 20,000 pounds of pistachios had gone missing.
Cargo never delivered
Montemayor transported the cargo, but did not deliver the pistachios to the Touchstone Pistachio Company. Instead, he drove the truck to a parking lot a short distance away. There he unpacked the pistachios and repacked them into smaller bags.

Police have returned the pistachios to their rightful owner, who has not yet commented on the remarkable theft. The police are investigating the matter. Pistachios are more often stolen in California.
The police report received a lot of reactions on Facebook. “How on earth did he think he could get away with this?” one user wrote.
