The trailer truck driver who collided with Car The fire (KA) Brantas at the Jalan Madukoro Raya Semarang crossing, Heru Susanto admitted that he was sitting sluggish on the side of the railroad tracks when the incident occurred. He denied the accusation of running away when the incident occurred.
When met at the Semarang Polrestabes Traffic Unit, Heru denied that it was said that he and his kernet had fled. Heru admitted that he was at the TKP until 00.30 WIB. However, Heru did not immediately surrender on the pretext of feeling traumatized.
“I went to the north of the rail, I saw that the incident was weak, traumatized, I sat there, I was at the police line, it was still there, I didn’t run away, I didn’t run away, I waited for my administrator to come to the TKP, then I came here,” explained Heru at the Semarang Police Traffic Unit Office, West Semarang, Thursday (20/7/2023).
Heru admitted that his truck got stuck before it was struck by the Brantas train. Heru said that initially the truck with plate number B 9943 IG broke down while crossing the rail crossing. After the engine started successfully, the truck got stuck and broke down again.
“Strike on the second rail, the engine shuts down, the second one might get stuck which I turned on for the two, it turns on again, the motion of about one meter can’t keep the engine shutting down anymore. I heard (the siren) that my person ordered me to get out,” he said.
At first, he didn’t know that the train was going to pass because the crossing had not yet been closed. He just heard the sound of sirens from the crossing after crossing the first rail.
“I heard that the first rail had entered, heard sirens,” he said
