Slavia footballers will miss three more players by the end of the autumn part of the season for health reasons.
Midfielder Petr Ševčík and forward Petar Musa have a serious injury from Thursday’s European League match in Leverkusen, and Ladislav Takács apparently sprained his ankle in today’s league duel with Liberec.
“Petr Ševčík and Petar Musa were injured after contacts with opponents in Leverkusen, it is very serious for both of them,” sighed Slavia’s coach Jindřich Trpišovský after Sunday’s league win 3-0 over Liberec.
“Petar finished it, even though it happened to him in the 10th minute. But neither of them will be available until the end of the autumn part. Petr certainly and Petar are now walking on crutches,” added the red-and-white strategist.
The duel with Slovan was not completed by the alternate Ladislav Takács.
“Laco Takács has, hopefully, only a sprained ankle, maybe it won’t be anything more serious. So he will also be out until the end of autumn. In addition, David Zima, Lukáš Masopust and Jan Bořil were playing with problems,” Trpišovský complained.
Tomáš Holeš and David Hovorka are also out of the game due to injuries. “Fatigue accumulates a lot. Now we are more mature to shoot another series from the hospital environment, another part of MASH,” said coach Slavia, who could cut the role of the popular Hawkeye, one of the main characters of the cult series.
“Now there are more people in the physio room than in the cabin, masseurs and physiotherapists go 100 percent. But now it is the same for all teams in Europe, most of them have eight or ten players outside,” added Trpišovský.
