After breaking a franchise record of 473 points in 2020, the Dallas Cowboys hired former Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn as their defense coordinator. The hiring has been praised by many cowboys fans and non-fans alike, and cowboys -Legend Troy Aikman was no exception.
On the The Michael Irvin PodcastAikman spoke fervently of Quinn to his former wide receiver, saying he knew Quinn well and praised him for his leadership and personality.
“I’ve got to know Dan Quinn pretty well,” said Aikman. “He’s really a leader of men. He’s a dude’s sweetheart, he’s as real as he gets, one of the nicest people. And he’s a really good one Football coach. “
It’s kudos from one of the greatest cowboys of all time, but Quinn takes more than leadership to reverse that defense.
Defense of the #DallasCowboyshas a handful of rookies fighting for game time, but how many could get a starting position?

Dan Quinn was best known as the Seattle Seahawks Defensive Coordinator from 2013 to 2014. Under Quinn’s leadership, the defense ranked No. 1 in the league for two consecutive years, reaching the Super Bowl twice and winning everything in Super Bowl XLIX.
In 2015, Quinn became head coach of the Atlanta Falcons, which he led to the Super Bowl just a year later, but after a heartbreaking loss, the Falcons began to decline, reaching the playoffs in 2017 before playing 7-9 seasons in a row in 2018 and 2019.
After Quinn started the 2020 season with a 0-5 record, she was fired.
TheCowboys have to believe that Quinn can still offer some of the magic he found in Seattle, and if he can, this cowboys team will get very good very quickly.
Will Dan Quinn be successful with the Dallas Cowboys?
