The Tropical Storm Rafael continues to weaken as advances through the Gulf of Mexicohe reported the National Weather Service.
Currently, Rafael is located about 470 kilometers northwest of Progreso, Yucatan, with maximum winds of 85 km / h, peaks up to 100 km / h, and moving west-northwest at a speed of 9 km / h.

According to the National Hurricane Center in Miami, hurricane hunter reconnaissance planes have flown over the storm and confirmed that the intensity of its winds is gradually decreasing.
In the next few hours, Tropical Storm Rafael will create the following conditions in the region:
- Heavy rains in the states of Campeche, Quintana Roo and Yucatan.
- Wind gusts between 40 and 60 km/h in Tamaulipas.
- High waves between 1 and 2 meters high on the affected coasts.
