The tropical storm Pamela It was located at 10:00 am today 440 kilometers (km) southwest of Pérula Beach, Jalisco; the system is expected to escalate to a Category 1 Hurricane later this day. Its cloud bands will produce very heavy rains on Sinaloa, Nayarit and Jalisco (from 50 to 75 mm or liters per square meter); and punctual heavy rains (25 to 50 mm or liters per square meter) in Baja California Sur, Durango, Colima and Michoacan.
According to the forecast of the National Meteorological Service (SMN), it is expected to impact the south of Sinaloa What Category 3 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson scale, with sustained winds of 185 km / h and gusts of 225 km / h, also causing high waves and storm surge of up to 4 or 5 meters high. Its remnants are expected to interact with cold front number 3, producing significant rains in the northeast of the country.
