The National Meteorological Service (SMN) reported that Tropical Storm Eugene is approaching west of Cabo Corriente, Jalisco.
“At 9:00 p.m. Central Mexico time, Tropical Storm Eugene was located approximately 330 kilometers (km) west of Cabo Corrientes, Jalisco, and 340 km south-southeast of Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur , with maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour (km/h), gusts of 100 km/h and moving northwest at 24 km/h,” he said in a statement.

What states will Tropical Storm Eugene affect?
During the next few hours, Eugene will cause very heavy rains (from 50 to 75 millimeters [mm]) to intense (from 75 to 150 mm) in regions of Colima and Jalisco; strong (25 to 50 mm) in Baja California Sur, Michoacán and Nayarit, as well as gusts of wind of 50 to 70 km/h and waves of 2 to 4 meters high on the coasts of Colima and Jalisco, conditions that will extend towards Baja Southern California during the course of this evening.
Tropical storm Eugene off the southeast coast of Baja California Sur will generate heavy rains in Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima and Michoacán, very heavy rains in Sinaloa and heavy rains in Baja California Sur. Likewise, it will cause wind with gusts of 50 to 70 km/h and waves of 2 to 4 meters high in Jalisco and Colima, conditions that will spread to Nayarit and Baja California Sur during tonight.
